Station 6 was alerted at 0951 hours for a Motor Vehicle Collision on Mt. Hermon Rd. at Wastegate Rd. Paramedic B6 and Command 6 with 617 (A/C Tyler) responded within a minute and Central advised that this incident was reported to involve 1 vehicle and only 1 patient. Rescue Engine 604 responded with a crew of 4. Paramedic B6 located the accident about 1 mile East of the intersection. Command 6 went on location with a car over the guardrail, 617 established Mt. Hermon Rd. Command. RE604 was directed to stage in the Eastbound lane and block traffic and send the crew up to assist the EMS crew. The patient was packaged and transported Priority 1 to PRMC in Salisbury. RE604 and Command 6 remained on scene until the vehicle was removed to assess for any fluid leaks. The accident was investigated by the Maryland State Police and a Maryland State Highway Administration crew assisted with traffic control. Units On Scene: Command 6, RE604, PMB6, MSP, & SHA.
